Enjoy the best of both worlds! We continue to offer a packed schedule of live-stream Pilates classes via Zoom and have recently restarted a limited number of classes at the Body Control Pilates Centre.

All classes are taught by our experienced team of Body Control Pilates teachers and we continue to keep attendee numbers small to give you maximum attention and benefit .

We are now offering Reformer and Matwork classes on Wednesday lunchtimes at the Body Control Pilates Centre. These can be booked via the link above or by calling us on 020 7636 8900.

All being well, we will gradually be adding more classes at our Centre and will post any news here!

Please note that matwork classes may have a Body Control Pilates teacher training student assisting the teacher.

Live-stream Body Control Pilates classes

We have over 50 Pilates classes running a week via Zoom. All are taught by our Body Control Pilates Centre Tutors and Teachers.

Our new block of live-stream Pilates classes will run from 10th January until 13th February 2022. Booking is currently for the block only.

Classes have a maximum of 12; specialist classes 10; Reformer/Tower/Chair classes 9.

Wake Up!
(Mat Class) A morning Pilates class to help get you moving for the day! Suitable for all levels.

Core Pilates
(Mat class) Core classes run at all levels including a mixed level class. You will develop your Pilates technique and skills by means of a balanced, effective, total body workout – with particular focus on your core.

Reformer Class
These classes are for Pilates teachers who have a Reformer at home to use during the class. You must have attended a Reformer course and have no injuries. These classes offer you the chance to achieve an intensive workout which is as much about correct technique as strength and stamina. You will work with different levels of resistance.

Tower Class
The Tower is a versatile piece of equipment added to the Reformer so you can use it as a Cadillac.  It provides additional spring resistance to both challenge and support you. To join these classes you will need your own Tower and have some experience with this equipment. All levels.

Foam Roller class
Release your tight shoulders, open stiff hips and move your spine. This mixed ability class is designed to help with all the effects of lockdown, will feel re-energized and massaged, calm and lengthened out. All you need is a mat and a 90cm Foam Roller & light hand weights but only if you have them.

Healthy Back Classes
(Mat Class) Designed to help prevent and manage low back pain and taught by a specially qualified Back4Good teacher. Great for if you’ve been hunched over a laptop 24/7. Suitable for all levels.

Healthy Bones Class
(Mat Class) This class is suitable for anyone who wishes to improve their bone health but it’s also ideal if you have been diagnosed with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis. We will work to strengthen the main joints and the spine by doing lots of balance work as well as looking at alignment, posture, breathing, stretching and ensuring good mobility. Suitable for all levels.

Pre and Postnatal Pilates Class
(Mat Class) This Pre and Postnatal Pilates Matwork class will include the most up to date knowledge and exercises. You must be at least 16 weeks pregnant or have had your 6 week check following a normal delivery and 12 weeks following a C-Section.

Ballet Barre and Pilates
(Mat Class) is a dynamic and challenging way of moving the body. Focusing on correct alignment and clear classical Ballet technique, The class also have a Pilates influence in the way we warm up and cool down. Everyone is welcome from total beginners to dancers! Stretch bands and small equipment ie balls are used in this class.

Stretch Pilates
(Mat Class) This class is focusing on improving your flexibility and range of movement. Working on areas we either overuse or neglect, we will go through a mix of exercises aiming to release stress in our muscles, finding expansion in the body while connecting to our centre and feeling more mobility.

Pilates, Breath and Massage Class
This mindful class will help you to roll away your stress. We will use a combination of breathing techniques, movement, mindfulness and massage to access your parasympathetic nervous system (the system responsible for down regulation and deep relaxation). You will need 2 massage balls of the same size (ideally about the size of a tennis ball) a Pilates overball and a mat/bolster/blanket to make yourself comfortable. Suitable for all levels.

The Vital Breath Class
(Mat Class) We take over 20,000 breaths a day, each breath affecting every system in the body. We can improve our health by learning how to breathe well. ‘The Vital Breath Class’ is a restorative class blending Buteyko and other breath techniques with movement, aiming to improve breathing and to downregulate the nervous system. Suitable for all levels and particularly useful for those with breathing dysfunction, anxiety, panic and/or sleep disorders. We will use a bath towel or blanket and a Pilates Overball if you have one.

Student Classes
This live-stream class is only open to students on the Body Control Matwork Teacher Training course. We will focus solely on the exercises that you have learnt in your Matwork training. These classes offer an excellent environment in which to develop your technique and advance your understanding.

Functional Footwork
This 30 minute class will include feet exercises that are functional both for daily living and gait patterning but also as a great foundation and bridge to the Pilates technique, which has always had footwork at its core. You can also use this class as a warm up for Brenda’s Intermediate Core class that follows straight afterwards! Suitable for all levels.

Pilates for Life
(Mat Class) Whatever your age it is never too early or late to start looking after your mind and body! This class is designed to keep you active and covers the fundamentals of  Alignment, Breathing and Centring with a focus on balance. You will learn to integrate your Pilates exercises into your everyday activities and it will include some seated exercises. Raj is Bone Health, Back4Good & Older Person qualified. Suitable for all levels.

Dynamic Flow Pilates
(Mat Class) This 45 min class is about moving more and pausing less. The class is choreographed so that we move from one Pilates exercise to another incorporating transitions into our practice. Dynamic Flow Pilates is a full body workout focusing on improving your posture and working deep in your core. The element of fluidity will make you feel strong, stretched and lengthened. Suitable for clients with at least 2 years Pilates experience.

We ask all clients to fill in an enrolment form, please contact us to request one.

 

 

Make-up policy

We can’t guarantee make up classes but if you give us at least 48hrs notice that you can’t make a class, we will do our best to help you make up a class within the same block. Sorry but credits and refunds for missed classes can’t be given once the block has started.

 

 

Cancellation policy

Sorry, any classes missed in a block cannot be refunded separately. Whilst catch up classes are not available, we will do our best to offer you an alternative class at the same level or lower within that block (a make up class) This is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. If you are unable to make a class please give us at least 24 hours notice and we will do our best to find you a space in another class within the block. You need to call up or email the day before the ‘make up class’ to see if there is space but as said before but this can’t be guaranteed. If you cancel a class within 24 hours sorry but we cannot offer you a make up class. All make up classes must be within the same block and cannot be rolled over.
