Course Dates and Availability

Our goal remains to keep people moving and our students learning during the disruption caused by the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic. We will find ourselves in a period of disruption for at least a few months more. With this in mind, we have taken a decision that our tuition modules will take place online until the end of 2021.
You can take the first steps on your path to becoming a Pilates teacher with our combination of exclusive theory and anatomy videos, complemented by 'live' online Zoom tutorials and classes led by our highly experienced course tutors.
Online tutorials will run for typically up to four hours a day (10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm) on the planned dates for each of the courses below, unless advised otherwise.
These will be followed up by four 'contact days' in London (or Edinburgh as appropriate) that can be taken shortly after your online modules (subject to lockdown restrictions) - the focus of these will be exercise review and group teaching work. Printed course notes will be sent out in advance.
With the UK government announcing that it will now place a special emphasis on health and fitness, perhaps now could be the perfect time to enrol for one of the courses below and take that important first step to making a difference to people's lives

We are pleased to announce that we are extending our 25th Anniversary promotion to include all courses starting up to, and including, November 2021. This reduces course fees by £600, bringing the level of fees down to £2,500 when paid in advance.

Our course comprises 13 tuition days, which can be attended in one of two formats:
'Extended', with the tuition taking place at weekends or 'Intensive', with two blocks of six consecutive days and seven days, with typically a three-week break inbetween. There is no difference content-wise between the two formats, with the key deciding factor for students being what works best with regard to their work, family, and other commmitments.

To gain certification, students must pass two multiple-choice examinations on anatomy; be assessed teaching a class (the culmination of their Supervised Teaching period); and complete some self-study work, including two open essay questions on Pilates fundamentals. Anatomy is taught during the course in the context of Pilates exercises.

You should assume that it will take you 6-12 months to complete the course - the main factor that determines this is your availability in the supervised teaching period and the progress you make. We will do everything we can to help you move through as smoothly and quickly as possible.

Successful students will receive a certification to teach matwork classes in the Body Control Pilates Method and are licensed, subject to agreement, to use the Body Control Pilates Trade Mark. They will also receive accreditation against the current national standard ('Level 3 Pilates').

Tuition days for courses through to January 2022 are currently as below and will be online via Zoom. The four follow-on Contact Days will be held at The Body Control Pilates Centre London unless advised.
