Body Control Pilates Matwork Teacher Training Course - next course starts in November 2020!

Body Control Pilates is a world-leading training provider and, by taking this course, you will get the perfect start to your Pilates teaching career. This is also an ideal qualification as, if you are an expatriate based in Qatar, Body Control Pilates is one of the most recognised and transportable Pilates qualifications available anywhere in the world.

Our next matwork teacher training course begins in November 2020 with students having the opportunity to gain their certification by May 2021 after attending four tuition blocks and undertaking their teaching practice ('supervised teaching').

Course tuition dates are (Thursday to Saturday):
Block 1: November 5th-7th 2020 online via Zoom (typically four hours a day)
Block 2: December 3rd-5th 2020 online via Zoom (typically four hours a day)
Block 3: January 7th-9th 2020 online via Zoom (typically four hours a day)
Block 4: February 4th-6th 2020 'face to face'

Thursday tuition usually runs from 2.30pm-9pm and Friday and Saturday tuition from 12.30pm-7.30pm.
Student 'supervised teaching' weekends are planned in March 2021 and April 2021 (15th & 16th). Final teaching assessments are planned for May 2021.

Introductory Workshop
An Introductory Workshop was offered in Doha by Philippa Satchwell, a senior tutor for the Body Control Pilates education programme. More than 20 people attended, all interested in learning more about the Body Control Pilates method – whether as a Pilates enthusiast or as someone interested in joining the Body Control Pilates teacher training programme.  
The workshop reviewed the eight principles of Body Control Pilates; discussed how to master the fundamentals of alignment, breathing, centring (core stability); and took participants through a range of beginners and intermediate matwork exercises. We will look at what sets Body Control Pilates apart as a training provider and Pilates membership body.
